The trip last year was great. The waterfowl hunt was outstanding. Watched a thousand Mallards drop
into the decoys 50 feet from us was awesome. It must have been as we didn't even fire a shot at that
bunch. Just looked and enjoyed the site.

During the '05 waterfowl season my son Brook and I had the good fortune to have hunted Ducks and
Geese in all four of Canada's Western Provinces (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan,
Manitoba). All provided good gunning! Our hunt with Ken Loewen of Brookdale Outfitters stood out
as the best! Ken is very knowledeable, organized, and fun! If we were not shooting we were
laughing! If we were not laughing we were shooting! Lots of both.

I had hunted with Brookdale Outfitters for three years with great success but I missed waterfowl
hunting. As a youngster in Southern Manitoba we grew up hunting the sloughs and ponds. Although
we had occasional good shoots, it was nothing like what I experienced with Brookdale Outfitters. In
one evening we limited out in 20 minutes. One Mallard was double banded with $100 reward tag. I
highly recommend.

I've hunted Saskatchewan from East to West, North to South, for over 30 years with my dad. My trip
to Manitoba with Ken Loewen at Broodale Outfitters was one of the finest duck and goose hunts I've
experienced.

Ken's spotting and set-ups were remarkable. The birds decoyed so well that my lab caught a hen
mallard and a goose without firing a shot! Both birds were obviously released, so we called it "catch
and release" duck hunting.

Ken is one of the hardest working outfitters I've hunted with and our hunting "successes" and
enjoyment were priorities to him. We had such a good trip that I am already booked for next year!

On behalf of myself and the other hunters in my party, Brookdale Outfitters is in our opinion one of
the top spots to hunt Whitetail Deer in Manitoba.

If you fly into Winnipeg, it is only about an hour and a half ride west on the #1 Highway. It is also
close to Brandon for supplies.

The hunting was great! We let all kinds of bucks go past because Ken said there were bigger ones
around. So I waited until the end of the week and shot a dandy buck (in fact, Ken has it on his
website with other big bucks). Ken has had several deer taken at Brookdale Outfitters that are in the
Manitoba Record Book.

We couldn't have asked for better hospitality; Ken and his family made us feel at home. You would
think that I knew them for years.

Ken works hard to see that you get a good chance to shoot your trophy buck. As for deer seen, after
the first day hunting, you quit counting. It is beautiful country; rolling land open with pockets of bush.
We couldn't have picked a better spot.

I would like to thank Ken and his family for the great an memorable time we had with them. In the
next year or two, myself and a couple of hunting buddies plan to book another hunt with Ken at
Brookdale Outfitters.
